Urine Pregnancy Test

A Urine Pregnancy Test (UPT) is a diagnostic test used to determine if a woman is pregnant by detecting the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in her urine. hCG is a hormone produced by the placenta shortly after a fertilized egg implants in the uterus.

Urine Sugar

Urine sugar refers to the presence of glucose in the urine, which is typically not found in significant amounts under normal conditions. In healthy individuals, the kidneys filter glucose from the blood but reabsorb it back into the bloodstream. However, when blood glucose levels become too high, the kidneys are unable to reabsorb all the glucose, and it spills over into the urine. This condition is called glucosuria.
