How it Works:

Insulin Glulisine is a rapid-acting human insulin analogue. It regulates glucose metabolism by:

  • Stimulating peripheral glucose uptake (especially by muscles and fat)

  • Inhibiting hepatic glucose production

  • Reducing lipolysis and proteolysis

  • Promoting protein synthesis


Usage and Safety

Dosage: As prescribed by a healthcare professional; individualized per patient.
Administration: Subcutaneous injection before meals or within 20 minutes after starting a meal.


Side Effects

  • Common:

    • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

    • Injection site reactions (redness, swelling, rash)
