Atco Oxcin Eye Drops 0.5% 5ml

Detail Description
Oxcin Eye Drops 0.5% 5 mL – Specification
Requires Prescription: Yes
Generics: Moxifloxacin HCl
Used For: Eye infections (bacterial conjunctivitis)
How it Works
Moxifloxacin has in-vitro activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.
-
The C8-methoxy group enhances antibacterial activity and reduces resistant mutant selection in Gram-positive bacteria.
-
The bulky bicycloamine group at C7 helps prevent bacterial efflux pumps from expelling the drug.
