How it Works:
Topical corticosteroids act as anti-inflammatory agents via multiple mechanisms to inhibit late-phase allergic reactions. They decrease mast cell density, chemotaxis, and activation of eosinophils, reduce cytokine production by immune cells, and inhibit arachidonic acid metabolism.
Usage & Safety
Dosage: Betamethasone Valerate (apply as directed by physician)
Side Effects:

Common (up to 1 in 10 people): Local skin burning or pain, itchy skin

Very rare (up to 1 in 10,000 people, usually with long-term or occlusive use): Increased weight, moon face, obesity, thinning skin, stretch marks, skin damage, skin wrinkling
Drug Interactions: Ritonavir, itraconazole
Indication:
Helps reduce redness and itchiness in skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
