How it works:
Topical corticosteroids act as anti-inflammatory agents via multiple mechanisms to inhibit late-phase allergic reactions. These include decreasing the density of mast cells, reducing chemotaxis and activation of eosinophils, decreasing cytokine production by lymphocytes, monocytes, mast cells, and eosinophils, and inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid.

Dosage: Betamethasone Valerate
Side Effects:

Common (up to 1 in 10 people): Local skin burning or pain, itchy skin.

Very rare (up to 1 in 10,000 people): Prolonged use or use under airtight dressings may cause increased weight, moon face, obesity, skin thinning, stretch marks, and skin fragility.
Drug Interactions: Ritonavir, Itraconazole
Indication:
Used to reduce redness and itchiness in skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
When not to Use:

Allergic to betamethasone valerate or any other ingredients.

Precautions

Take care when applying near eyelids to avoid eye contact (risk of glaucoma).
