How it Works:
Betamethasone, a potent topical corticosteroid, reduces inflammation via multiple mechanisms—decreasing mast cell density, inhibiting chemotaxis and activation of eosinophils, reducing cytokine production by immune cells, and blocking arachidonic acid metabolism. These actions help suppress the late-phase allergic response, easing redness, swelling, and itching.
