Requires Prescription (YES/NO):
Yes

Generics:
Bifonazole

Used For:

  • Fungal skin infections (tinea, athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm)

Description:
Bifomyk Cream contains Bifonazole, an imidazole-class antifungal agent that fights the root cause of fungal skin infections by inhibiting fungal cell membrane synthesis. It is effective against a broad range of dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds.

How it Works:
Bifonazole interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption weakens the fungal cell wall, leading to leakage of cellular contents and eventual death of the fungus.
